Job summary

Intertek in Pittsburgh, PA is hiring an Entry Level Environmental Technician to support environmental consulting services. You will perform asbestos and indoor air quality work, with some off-shift hours and occasional travel.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, and may prefer an Associate degree or technical training. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are needed. The position is on-site with potential overtime.

What are we looking for?

The Entry Level Environmental Technician will support the environmental business by conducting environmental consulting work. This includes asbestos and indoor air quality related work and more. This position will require some off-shift and overtime work, as well as occasional travel.

• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently. Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound.
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold)
• Ability to climb occasionally
