Job Description
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

The Environmental Technician/General Laborer consolidates, treats, stores, packs, transports, and/or disposes of hazardous waste following environmentally responsible and compliant practices, policies, and procedures. Maintain detailed and accurate records.

  • Segregate and package material for transport.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory and storage of hazardous materials in accordance with regulations and policies.
  • Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment to move containers and load/unload trailers.
  • Complete required documentation accurately, timely, and legibly.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills for web-based training
  • Ability to understand and respond in English (written and verbal)
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules as needed
  • Polite and professional interaction with customers and coworkers
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Stand and walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods
  • Visual acuity for reading labels and documentation; depth perception for operating forklifts
  • Hear vehicle warning alarms
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled environments
  • Willingness to wear PPE such as safety glasses, hard hats, steel-toed shoes, gloves, coveralls, and respirators
