Stantec is seeking a motivated Technical Editor to join the Document Support team in Environmental Services. You will edit technical reports, proposals, and publications for grammar, style, and consistency, format deliverables with Word styles, and remediate PDFs to meet Section 508 accessibility standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, history, or a writing-intensive field (or a science degree) with 3+ years editorial experience.
• Familiarity with U.S. accessibility policies; willingness to learn CommonLook for Word/PDF remediation.

Responsibilities

• Edit reports, publications, proposals for grammar, clarity, and style.
• Format deliverables using Word styles per standards or client guidelines.
• Remediate PDFs for Section 508 accessibility using CommonLook.
• Provide editing support to project managers and ensure consistency across clients.
• Oversee quality control, production, and distribution of documents per schedules.
