Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. seeks a Technical Editor to join the Environmental Services Document Support team.

You will edit technical reports, publications, and proposals for grammar, clarity, and consistency, and ensure adherence to client guidelines. You will format deliverables using Word styles and remediate PDFs for Section 508 accessibility, supporting project managers to deliver high-quality materials on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, history, or a similar writing-intensive discipline—or a bachelor’s degree in a scientific field with editorial experience.
• 3+ years editorial experience with writing/editing as a core component; master’s degree preferred.
• Familiarity with U.S. accessibility practices and willingness to learn CommonLook.

Responsibilities

• Review and edit reports, publications, proposals, and correspondence for grammar, clarity, and accuracy.
• Edit technical documents such as NEPA studies, biological and cultural resources reports, and permit applications.
• Prepare proposals and business development materials (memos, fact sheets, PowerPoints, emails).
• Remediate public-facing documents for Section 508 accessibility using CommonLook.
• Provide editing support to project managers and ensure consistency across clients.
• Manage quality control, production, and distribution of documents per schedules.
