Job summary

Stantec is seeking a motivated Technical Editor to join our Environmental Services Document Support team. You will edit technical reports, proposals, and publications for grammar, clarity, consistent voice, and acronym usage, and format deliverables to meet company or client guidelines.

Additionally, you will remediate PDFs to ensure Section 508 accessibility and provide support to project managers to maintain quality and on-time delivery across diverse, fast-paced projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English or related field with at least 3 years editorial experience.
• Experience with Section 508/accessibility remediations using CommonLook.
• Strong written communication and English grammar expertise.
• Familiarity with Chicago and APA style guides and client-specific protocols.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Edit reports, publications, proposals for grammar and style.
• Format documents with Word styles per standards.
• Remediate PDFs for Section 508 accessibility.
• Provide editing support to project managers for consistency.
• Assist with proposals and business development deliverables.
• Ensure delivery quality, production, and distribution per schedules.
