McCarthy Recruitment is seeking an Environmental Manager for a newly created leadership role in Warrington. You will lead multidisciplinary environmental teams across monitoring, planning, surveying, and GIS while shaping strategies and mentoring staff.

You’ll strengthen client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and support tenders, helping the business grow while maintaining high safety and quality standards across diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Earth Sciences or a related discipline
• Experience within environmental consultancy, environmental monitoring, contaminated land, hydrogeology, ecology, permitting or infrastructure
• Experience leading environmental projects and mentoring technical teams
• Strong commercial awareness and experience managing client relationships
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Passion for developing people and driving continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop multidisciplinary technical teams
• Support managers with resource planning and project delivery
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Identify opportunities for business growth and support tender submissions
• Coach and mentor technical professionals
• Drive continuous improvement across technical processes and standards
• Work closely with senior leadership to shape the future direction of the department
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards
