Job summary

Ecumen St. Benedict's Community in St. Cloud, MN is seeking a Full-Time Environmental Supervisor to oversee maintenance, housekeeping and laundry staff, ensuring a clean and safe environment for residents and staff. The role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with occasional on-call rotation, and includes budgeting and vendor management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Boiler operator’s license where required for onsite boilers.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains external vendor relationships for maintenance, custodial, grounds and related services.
• Prepares and manages annual departmental budget.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Coordinates safety training and builds a culture of safety.
• Manages inventory and orders supplies as needed.
• Performs preventative maintenance and repairs as required.

The Environmental Supervisor is responsible for supervising all maintenance, housekeeping and laundry staff while maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, guests and team members.

Pay:

• The targeted pay range for this job is $28.00 to $34.00per hour.

• Hires, trains and supervises maintenance, housekeeping and laundry staff to meet regulations and established departmental standards.
• Develops and maintains external vendor relationships for all maintenance, custodial, grounds, housekeeping services and for monitoring all nonmedical contractors hired to perform services on the premises.
• Prepares and manages annual departmental budget.
• Ensures community property complies with all appropriate regulations including local, state, and federal laws.
• Develops and maintains facility maintenance and/or programs.
• Performs regular preventative maintenance and repairs as required throughout property.
• Coordinates and trains all team members in building safety procedures, including in-services on the premises.
• Manages inventory control for all supplies used within department and orders supplies as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Driving Requirements: Local Travel and Driver’s License Required

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous maintenance experience
• Boiler operator’s license in states where one is required, at the minimum horsepower class as designated by the governing state for the boilers on site or eligible within 6 months of hire
• Valid Drivers License, proof of insurance and satisfactory motor vehicle record
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations.
