American Structurepoint seeks an Environmental Specialist in Indianapolis to join our environmental science team. You will characterize natural resources and potential environmental impacts for transportation and civil projects, working with project managers, geologists, ecologists and other specialists.

You’ll conduct NEPA documentation, field surveys, GIS mapping, and coordination with agencies while preparing technical reports and permit applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant work experience in environmental consulting or regulatory environment.
• Certified in FHWA/INDOT NEPA.
• Ability to work well and self‑motivate in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to work in variable conditions, including uneven ground and remote sites.
• Strong team player with effective internal & external communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Experience with ARC GIS preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare environmental documentation under NEPA requirements.
• Conduct wetland and waterway delineations and Waters reports.
• Prepare waterway permits and assist in mitigation planning.
• Coordinate with government agencies on resources affected by projects.
• Develop plans, reports and permit applications to document impacts.
• Support for business development and client coordination.
