American Structurepoint, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Specialist in Indianapolis, IN to support NEPA documentation, field surveys, and environmental permitting.

You will work with project managers, geologists, ecologists, and other specialists to characterize resources, assess impacts, and develop plans and reports. The role requires collaboration, adaptability to field conditions, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Recent or about to graduate Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resources or other related field
• Ability to work well and self-motivate in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to work in variable conditions, including uneven ground and access to remote sites
• Strong team player with effective internal & external communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications

Responsibilities

• General duties include preparation of environmental documentation under NEPA requirements, conducting wetland and waterway delineations, preparation of surveys, and assisting in permit applications.
• Additional duties include wetland/stream mitigation plans, monitoring, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, and proposal support.
• Perform field data collection for environmental investigations and natural resource surveys.
• Collect and compile environmental data from soil, water, and other materials for analysis.
• Generate GIS-based maps and project-specific mapping using GIS software.
• Coordinate with government agencies to identify resources affected by projects.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations applicable to transportation and civil works.
• Assist in public participation and outreach, including notices and presentations.
