Job summary

American Structurepoint in Columbus, OH is seeking an Environmental Specialist to join our environmental science team. You will work with Project Managers, Geologists, Ecologists and other specialists on characterizing resources and documenting potential environmental impacts for diverse infrastructure projects.

The role requires handling NEPA documentation, fieldwork, GIS-based mapping, data analysis and coordination with public agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resources or related field.
• Ability to work well and self-motivate in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to work in variable conditions, including uneven ground and access to remote sites.
• Strong team player with effective internal & external communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare environmental documentation under NEPA requirements.
• Conduct wetland and waterway delineations.
• Prepare Waters reports and waterway permits.
• Assist in wetland/stream mitigation plans and Phase I ESAs.
• Coordinate with government agencies for regulatory approvals.
• Assist in public participation and outreach for projects.
• Support development of proposals and business needs.
