The Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Water Quality, Division of Water Quality Management, seeks an Environmental Specialist III in Augusta, Maine. This full-time, year-round role requires managing statewide inspection programs, wastewater system knowledge, and adherence to water quality regulations.

Strong communication and independence are essential. Recent and preferred candidates will bring experience with compliance inspections, regulatory understanding, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Six (6) year combination of education and/or experience in environmental, biological, physical science, or engineering including two (2) years of environmental experience.
• Qualifying education must include at least 15 credit hours of science or engineering coursework from an accredited institution.
