Job summary

Veolia North America is hiring for a hazardous waste transportation role. The job requires a clean-shaven appearance and a 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

shift, Monday through Friday, with duties including sampling, manifesting, spill response, labeling, loading/unloading and coordinating transport while upholding DOT/EPA and company safety rules. Education options include a high school diploma or GED (required) and a chemistry-related bachelor’s degree (preferred); certifications include 40-hour

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science is preferred.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Ability to obtain Class A or B CDL with HazMat endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Manifesting, packaging, spill response, labeling, loading/unloading and coordinating transportation.
• Sample waste streams according to prescribed policies and procedures.
• Maintain a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing/potential problems.
• Comply with health, safety, and procedures per VES-TS policies.
• Become familiar with DOT/EPA and VES-TS regulations for disposal paperwork.
• Operate and maintain all equipment to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness.
• Other duties as assigned.
