Job summary

American Structurepoint is seeking a Senior Environmental Specialist in Indianapolis, IN to work with our environmental team on NEPA documentation and natural resource assessments for infrastructure projects.

The role involves coordinating with project managers, geologists, ecologists, and other environmental specialists, ensuring high-quality deliverables and compliance with environmental regulations. A Bachelor's or Master’s degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience in consulting or regulatory environment, in the environmental science field.
• Ability to obtain certification in FHWA/INDOT NEPA.
• Strong team player with effective internal & external communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Experience with ARC GIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare environmental documentation under NEPA requirements.
• Conduct wetland and waterway delineations and assessments.
• Prepare delineation reports and waterway permits.
• Develop plans, technical reports and permit applications.
• Coordinate with government agencies to identify resources potentially affected by projects.
