Job summary

Cherokee Federal in Hawaii seeks an Environmental Specialist (Entry) to support environmental programs, compliance assessments, technical reports, and data products. You will help transfer and organize records from Navy systems to Air Force repositories and maintain SharePoint repositories and NexGen IT documentation.

Qualifications

• Requires CAC and ability to pass DoD clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a natural science field.
• Experience with environmental compliance or data management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental program plans, compliance assessments, reports, and data products.
• Assist with transfer and organization of environmental records from Navy systems to Air Force repositories.
• Maintain SharePoint repositories and upload documentation to NexGen IT or equivalent systems.
• Assist with environmental project planning, cost estimates, specifications, and mitigation actions.
• Support permit applications, regulatory correspondence, inspections, and compliance reporting.
• Assist with environmental inspections and field activities (water, soil, asbestos-containing material, lead-based paint, wildlife, facility compliance).
• Assist with hazardous-material surveys and evaluations of environmental-service proposals.
• Collect and analyze environmental data and support weekly reports, briefings, and stakeholder communications.
