Job summary

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC (SSE) is seeking an Environmental Specialist (Entry-Level) to support the 647 Civil Engineering Squadron at Joint Base Pearl Harbor‑Hickam, Hawaii. The role focuses on environmental compliance, records management, and project documentation for defense facilities.

You will assist with inspections, field activities, and data analysis, coordinating with stakeholders and regulators, while completing a Tier 1 background check and CAC requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of environmental compliance, natural resources, environmental science, or related technical disciplines.
• Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and document environmental data and records.
• Ability to support field inspections, technical documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Must be able to successfully complete the required Tier 1 background investigation and obtain/maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or related natural science field from an accredited institution within the 50 United States required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with environmental program management, compliance assessments, conservation activities, and mitigation needs.
• Support transfer, organization, review, and maintenance of environmental records from Navy systems to Air Force repositories and databases.
• Assist in developing or reviewing environmental project plans, studies, specifications, cost estimates, mitigation actions, and facility documentation.
• Support environmental inspections, field activities, sampling, observation, and corrective-action tracking.
• Assist with permit applications, regulatory correspondence, inspection support, and documentation addressing findings or actions.
• Collect and analyze environmental data and prepare reports, presentations, and organized program files.
