Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers you the chance to learn and grow within an established company with over 45 years of experience. The program lasts approximately sixteen (16) weeks and combines hands-on and computer-based training focusing on managing your own account, including:

  • General Training & Comprehension - Learn and perform the duties of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker, including operating various industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Leadership Development - Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to policies, procedures, and federal/state requirements.
  • Policies & Procedures - Provide leadership, support, and guidance to ensure quality standards, inventory, safety, and customer service expectations are met, following all applicable standards and policies.
  • Reporting - Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment, and report to management.
  • Training - Be responsible for staff training, quality control, and in-servicing to meet HCSG standards, including frequent site assessments.
  • Leadership - Handle managerial responsibilities such as payroll, staffing, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
  • Communication - Effectively communicate directives from management to staff.
  • Safety - Use protective gear, handle cleaning solutions safely, and report equipment or product issues. Follow infection control, universal precautions, and proper reporting procedures.
  • Punctuality - Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks.
  • Customer Experience - Represent HCSG positively by being courteous and cooperative with staff and clients.
  • Experience - Maintain positive interactions with staff and guests.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills upon completion of training, able to work independently without injury.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Punctuality and reliable attendance.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds, and perform routine tasks around food and cleaning products.
  • Reside in the service area.
