Environmental Services - Manager in Training

Position Overview

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a comprehensive, approximately sixteen-week interactive training experience designed to develop future leaders in healthcare environmental services. The program includes hands-on and computer-based training across various operational areas, leadership development, policy and procedure adherence, reporting, safety, and customer and resident interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and perform duties related to housekeeping, laundry, and environmental services.
• Assist in staff training, quality control, and compliance with federal, state, and local standards.
• Maintain records of operations, expenditures, and personnel activities.
• Develop managerial skills including payroll, staffing, inventory, purchasing, and budgeting.
• Ensure safety protocols, including PPE use and infection control, are followed.
• Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and residents to ensure high-quality service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and perform routine tasks.
• Basic computer skills and ability to maintain records.
• Ability to lift/carry and work around cleaning products and equipment.
• Must reside in the service area and be punctual.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required.
