Position Summary

The Manager-In-Training (MIT) program is a 16-week interactive training designed to develop your management skills through hands-on and computer-based learning. The program covers:

  • Operational training in housekeeping, laundry, and equipment use.
  • Leadership development, including staff training and quality control.
  • Understanding policies, inventory, safety, and customer service standards.
  • Recordkeeping and reporting skills.
  • Managerial responsibilities such as payroll, staffing, purchasing, budgeting.
  • Effective communication and safety procedures.
  • Ensuring a positive resident and customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude with ability to follow instructions and perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training to operate independently.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Must reside in the service area.
