Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow at an established company with over 45 years of experience. The program lasts approximately sixteen (16) weeks and includes hands-on and computer-based training covering:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Learn and perform roles of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker, including operating industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to policies and federal/state requirements.
  • Policies & Procedures: Provide leadership and support to meet quality standards, inventory, safety, and customer service expectations.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Training: Responsible for staff training, quality control, and in-servicing to meet HCSG standards, including conducting facility tours for quality assessments.
  • Leadership: Handle managerial responsibilities such as payroll, staffing, coaching, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate directives from management to staff.
  • Safety: Use PPE, follow safety protocols, and report equipment or product issues. Follow infection control and universal precautions.
  • Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively through courteous and cooperative interactions.
  • Experience: Engage in positive interactions with staff and facility guests.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training to operate independently without injury.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift/carry, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and perform routine tasks.
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Reside in the service area.
