Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers an opportunity to learn and grow within an established company. The program lasts approximately sixteen weeks and includes hands-on and computer-based training covering:

  • General Training & Comprehension - Learn and perform tasks related to housekeeping, laundry, operate industrial cleaning equipment, and teach others.
  • Leadership Development - Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to policies and federal/state requirements.
  • Policies & Procedures - Provide leadership, support, and guidance to meet quality, safety, inventory, and customer service standards.
  • Reporting - Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Training & Quality Control - Responsible for staff training, quality control, and assessments.
  • Leadership - Manage payroll, staffing, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Communication - Effectively communicate directives from management to staff.
  • Safety - Use PPE, follow safety protocols, report issues, and adhere to infection control procedures.
  • Punctuality - Maintain consistent attendance and timely responses.
  • Customer Experience - Represent HCSG courteously and professionally.
  • Experience - Engage positively with staff and guests.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training to work independently.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Punctuality and reliable attendance.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Residence within the service area.
