Position Summary
Our exciting Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers you the opportunity to learn and grow at an established company with over 45 years of experience. As a new associate, you'll participate in a customized interactive program that includes hands-on and computer-based training lasting approximately sixteen (16) weeks. The program covers various aspects of managing your own account, including:
- General Training & Comprehension - Learn and perform the duties of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker, including operating and teaching others to operate various industrial cleaning equipment.
- Leadership Development - Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to policies and procedures and federal/state requirements.
- Policies & Procedures - Provide leadership, support, and guidance to ensure quality standards, inventory levels, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met, following applicable standards and policies to ensure quality housekeeping services at all times.
- Reporting - Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment in report format for management review.
- Training - Be responsible for staff training, quality control, and in-servicing to meet HCSG standards, including conducting facility tours and assessing work quality using QCIs.
- Leadership - Learn to handle managerial responsibilities such as payroll, staffing, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory management, and budgeting.
- Communication - Effectively communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to staff.
- Safety - Use protective gear, follow safety protocols for mixing and using cleaning solutions, report equipment needs or malfunctions, and adhere to infection control procedures.
- Punctuality - Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks.
- Customer Experience - Represent HCSG positively by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperating with staff and clients.
- Experience - Engage in positive, tactful interactions with residents, staff, and guests.
Qualifications
- Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and perform routine tasks.
- Leadership skills post-training to perform responsibilities independently and safely.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks and work around food and cleaning products.
- Residence within the service area.
