Job summary

The Planet Group in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking an analytical, detail-oriented Technical Services Representative to join our Technical Services Team. The role focuses on job creation, data entry, scheduling, and supporting customers across various sectors.

Responsibilities include responding to requests, coordinating waste tracking and transportation documentation, and assisting with bids and invoicing while collaborating with EH&S staff to ensure compliance and accurate financials.

Qualifications

• Waste background required; degree preferred but not mandatory.
• Organized and detail-oriented with strong time management.
• Proven communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable handling calls and emails from customers and staff.
• Knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations is essential.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license and be eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level service by promptly responding to requests and acting as main contact for customers.
• Manage an extensive client book, offering technical support to EH&S staff and on-site personnel.
• Prepare documentation for transportation of chemicals to disposal facilities.
• Assist with bids, proposals, and quotations for services such as lab packs and drum disposal.
• Maintain and grow the customer base through quality control and follow-ups.
• Coordinate job folders with Finance and Operations, including job costing and invoicing.
• Collaborate with Project and Account Managers to understand financials and forecasts.
• Perform monthly COGS reviews to maximize gross profit.
