Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an Overnight Environmental Services Associate to maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary hospital environment 10:45PM-7:15AM, Sunday to Thursday at 55 Fruit Street. This role performs floor care, waste removal, restroom sanitation and general facility support in patient and non-patient areas.

Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred and 2-3 years of hospital cleaning experience; strong organization, teamwork, and communication skills; ability to operate

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience cleaning in hospitals or healthcare centers.
• Ability to operate floor care equipment and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, equipment, and woodwork.
• Clean walls, ceilings, windows, blinds, doors, and other surfaces.
• Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles in assigned areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and restock supplies.
• Remove litter and debris from building grounds and surrounding areas.
• Operate floor care equipment including stripping and buffing machines.
• Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for hospital events and daily operations.
• Identify and report maintenance and repair needs.

Essential Functions

• Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, equipment, and woodwork.
• Clean walls, ceilings, windows, blinds, doors, and other building surfaces.
• Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles in assigned areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; restock supplies as needed.
• Remove litter and debris from building grounds and surrounding areas.
• Operate high- and low-speed floor care equipment, including stripping and buffing machines.
• Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for hospital events and daily operations.
• Identify and report maintenance and repair needs within assigned areas.

Licenses and Credentials Experience Experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers 2-3 years required

Pay Range
