Job summary

Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking an Evening Cleaner to help prevent the spread of infection by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing spaces, disposing of waste, and sterilizing equipment. This onsite role at 151 Everett Avenue in Chelsea, MA offers part-time, 14 hours per week, with evenings 1:00 PM–8:30 PM.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 0–1 year of related experience, and knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling; duties include operating floor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Experience cannot replace the degree requirement.
• 0-1 year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning duties in alignment with standards and infection control guidelines.
• Completes waste stream removal.
• Cleans and services assigned areas according to established procedures.
• Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies throughout Medical Center departments and performs a variety of cleaning duties to maintain a neat, orderly, and sanitary environment.
• Attends a minimum of eight unit/department meetings annually.
