Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to perform evening cleaning and disinfection across patient and non-patient areas, maintaining a safe and sanitary hospital environment. You will follow schedules, use cleaning chemicals safely, operate floor buffers, and report hazards promptly.

The role requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 0–1 year of related experience. Onsite shift from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm, 25 hours weekly, with pay range $17.71–$22.15 hourly

• Operate and maintain environmental services equipment, including floor machines and buffers.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Provide courteous and professional service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Essential Functions

Perform cleaning and disinfection duties in accordance with established schedules, infection prevention standards, and departmental procedures. Collect, transport, and dispose of waste streams according to regulatory and organizational guidelines. Clean and service assigned patient care and non-patient care areas to maintain a safe, sanitary, and orderly environment. Move furniture, equipment, and supplies throughout the medical center as needed to support operational needs. Operate and maintain environmental services equipment, including floor machines and buffers. Maintain patient rooms, common areas, offices, and clinical spaces in a clean and presentable condition. Follow all safety, infection control, and environmental services policies and procedures. Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards to appropriate personnel. Participate in a minimum of eight departmental or unit meetings annually. Provide courteous and professional service to patients, visitors, and staff while supporting a positive healthcare environment.
