Job summary
ERM is seeking a Consulting Associate, Environmental Scientist / Permitting Specialist in Philadelphia, PA to support environmental assessments, field surveys, and permitting activities for land development and infrastructure projects. You will work with Project Managers, Partners, and technical experts across sectors to enable responsible project delivery.
Ideal candidates have a BS in a related field, 0–1 years of experience, strong report writing and data handling skills, and a safety-first
Qualifications
- BS in Environmental Science, Biology, Natural Resources, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 0–1 years of relevant experience.
- Strong commitment to safety and ability to work outdoors in variable conditions.
- Willingness to support field assignments including extended periods.
- Familiarity with environmental field survey techniques and wetland delineations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental assessments and support permitting activities for infrastructure projects.
- Perform field surveys and collect, organize, and analyze field data; write technical reports.
- Develop permit matrices and complete permit applications under guidance.
- Support project management and client value delivery; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
