ERM in Houston seeks a Managing Consultant, Scientist to lead field-based wetland delineations and ecological assessments for major projects across energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors.

You will shape permitting strategies, deliver technical reports, and collaborate with ERM's nationwide specialists, traveling up to 50% and contributing to our Impact Assessment practice while advancing sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Natural Resources, or related field; minimum 3.0 GPA.
• At least 5 years of environmental experience in wetland delineation, habitat assessments, and permitting.
• Knowledge of plant identification, hydric soils, and hydrology indicators.
• Strong technical writing and data management skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead field-based wetland delineations and species assessments for nationally significant projects.
• Shape permitting strategies across energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors.
• Prepare technical reports, permit matrices, and compliance plans.
• Collaborate with ERM's nationwide specialists to solve complex environmental challenges.
• Manage quality, budget, and schedule while supporting the Impact Assessment team.
