Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. The role focuses on regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local projects in our portfolio.

You will collaborate with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists to develop risk assessments, data objectives, SAPs, and exposure models, while guiding junior staff and supporting client meetings and proposals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Science or related field; professional registration/certification preferred
7 years of related experience in environmental consulting or regulation
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Equivalent additional directly related experience can substitute for degree

Responsibilities

Support site investigations and data interpretation for HRAs/ERAs
Assist with DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs development
Support planning for CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, BERAs
Collaborate with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches
Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff
Support proposals with sales staff for RFPs
Contribute to firm knowledge with white papers on environmental issues
Present at conferences to enhance visibility of services
