Job summary

Eversource Energy seeks an Environmental Coordinator to support electric and gas operations in Connecticut. You will lead emergency response activities, oversee OHM releases, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with customers, regulators, and internal teams.

The role requires developing qualifications to become a Connecticut Permitted Environmental Professional (PEP), managing hazardous materials programs, PCB handling, SPCC plans, and working with contractors on environmental projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental science or related field required.
• Three or more years of relevant environmental experience.
• Experience in environmental emergency response and spill management preferred.
• Ability to pursue Connecticut DEEP PEP certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides environmental oversight and technical support for assigned service area.
• Responds to and manages OHM releases with assessment, containment, and reporting.
• Coordinates spill response activities and oversees environmental contractors.
• Participates in environmental emergency response on-call rotations, nights/weekends/holidays.
• Supports PCB removal, SPCC plans, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Assists with site assessments, remediation, and due diligence for Company properties.
