This role emphasizes leadership, safety, and adherence to state and federal requirements, with responsibilities spanning inbound, outbound, and documentation, including lab testing insights and cost-control considerations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; BA/BS preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in an environmental-related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER training completed and current or ability to obtain.
• 2+ years of progressive environmental/hazardous waste management experience in operations.
• Experience with RCRA and DoT regulations related to waste handling preferred.
• Experience in team building and collaboration; employee engagement experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound waste from service centers and other sources while ensuring compliance.
• Provide insights on waste entering inventory that require lab testing.
• Maintain documentation and manifests for waste per state and federal requirements.
• Offer expertise on outbound shipping strategies and coach staff.
• Review weekly and monthly production summaries; ensure regulatory adherence.
• Implement safety protocols and stay updated on waste management regulations.
