Qualifications

• BS/BA in Management, Journalism, English, or a technical discipline, or 5+ years of relevant proposal coordination experience.
• 1+ years of relevant experience developing and coordinating proposals, presentations, and related sales or business development deliverables.
• 1+ years of experience on federal environmental proposals.
• 1+ years of writing experience on proposals to include resumes, project descriptions, and qualifications.
• Proposal experience in engineering, architecture, or environmental industries.
• Advanced English verbal, writing, and proofreading skills with sales messaging focus.
• Strong organizational qualities and attention to detail and quality.
• Proactive self-starter. Willing to travel as needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft CoPilot.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Environmental Sales teams across our federal portfolios.
• With little or no supervision, perform proposal coordination, writing, and proposal production of a variety of sales/business development efforts to meet deadlines.
• Manage multiple tasks concurrently and engage with stakeholders/reviewers.
• Accomplish writing assignments to include resumes, project descriptions, qualifications, etc.
• Direct and guide proposal support team (document processors, editors, reproduction, etc.) to achieve timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Participate in coordinating and driving compliance; oversee preparation/writing of proposal sections by others.
• Collaborate and work independently as appropriate.
• Apply sound judgment on compliance issues affecting proposals.
• Understand Jacobs’ sales processes and software platforms for proposal development.
• Coordinate calls, take notes, and distribute action items for kickoff and reviews.
• Coordinate geographically-dispersed proposal teams remotely.
• Follow document management and version control on proposal SharePoint sites.
• Support content collection with teaming partners and subcontractors.
• Proactively communicate issues and help develop solutions in a timely manner.
• Write content for non-technical sections by interviewing SMEs and tailoring resumes and project descriptions.
• Direct and integrate graphic design, editing, publishing, and reproduction staff.
• Suggest improvements to proposal development processes.
• Prioritize workloads to meet deliverables.
• Follow health and safety policies and escalate issues.
• Maintain internal client networks within the unit/account teams.
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication; active listening.
• Implement company brand guidelines on assigned activities.
• Knowledge of support skills (publishing, repro) at a basic level.
