Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to lead and deliver environmental projects from concept to completion in Charleston, SC.

You will manage budgets, timelines, and client relationships while guiding a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, geologists, and technicians. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of environmental consulting, knowledge of permitting and testing, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
• 5+ years of environmental consulting experience.
• Professional Geologist (PG) or PE registration preferred.
• Knowledge of environmental permitting and testing methods.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Proficiency with office and reporting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental projects from proposal through completion.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and deliverables.
• Partner directly with clients to understand needs and deliver exceptional service.
• Perform and oversee Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
• Support environmental investigations, sampling, reporting, and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, laboratory, and environmental services.
• Mentor and support developing professionals while contributing to team growth.
• Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and support business development efforts.
