Job summary

SCS Engineers seeks an energetic Environmental Project Manager for our Charleston, SC office. Lead brownfield redevelopment projects, including Phase I/II ESAs, VCC/NRP-VCC support, and regulatory coordination with SCDES. Role includes mentorship, report preparation, and business development contributions.

The position emphasizes in-office work with opportunities for leadership growth and client-facing responsibilities in a dynamic environmental services team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related degree required.
Experience: minimum 7 years in environmental consulting; field and office work.
Experience in solid/hazardous waste management and groundwater assessments is a plus.
Familiarity with water quality regulations and environmental assessment/remediation.

Responsibilities

Lead technical direction and project coordination for brownfield redevelopment projects.
Prepare and review technical reports and coordinate with SCDES and stakeholders.
Mentor staff and support business development activities.
Manage budgets, scopes of work, and client communications.
