Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Junior Hydrologist, Hydrogeologist, or Environmental Engineer to join the Environmental Team at the Carlin operation. The role focuses on maintaining environmental compliance through groundwater and surface water monitoring, dewatering studies, and site characterization.

The position emphasizes independent work, collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, and safe operating practices. A related bachelor’s degree and relevant experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 3–5 years of hydrology/hydrogeology experience preferred.
• 1–3 years of environmental compliance experience preferred.
• Experience with dewatering systems and hydrologic/hydrogeochemical modeling preferred.
• Ability to operate independently and in small teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with site, corporate, and consulting teams to identify groundwater quantity and quality impacts from mining.
• Maintain regulatory compliance for groundwater, surface water, permits, and related plans.
• Interpret and report monitoring data and findings.
• Manage technical model updates and site characterization studies with regulators.
• Perform monitoring tasks using established protocols and thresholds.
• Oversee data management and regulatory reporting.
