Job summary

Stantec's Southern California team seeks a Deputy Project Manager with Planning experience to support environmental services for power utility programs. You will manage schedules, budgets, risk, and permitting, leading multi-disciplinary teams and coordinating environmental studies.

Responsibilities include land use planning, CEQA/NEPA support, and assisting with proposals. The role requires 3+ years in PM, strong coordination across disciplines, and a willingness to reside within commuting

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of project management experience within environmental planning/permits.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Urban/Regional or related field.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide land use planning and environmental permitting support for utility programs.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams and coordinate technical studies (biological, cultural, waters/wetlands).
• Develop and mentor staff; assist with proposals and scoping.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and risks to ensure on-time project delivery.
