Job summary

First Environment, headquartered in Butler, New Jersey, seeks an Environmental Permitting Project Manager for a hybrid role reporting to the Butler office with remote work options. You will support development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of key permitting programs to drive quality and growth for our clients and communities.

The successful candidate will lead a broad range of federal, state, and local permitting activities, including NEPA documentation, and coordinate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, natural resources, biology, ecology, planning, or related field.
• 5–15 years of post-degree environmental permitting experience in New Jersey; comparable NJ/NY experience is a plus.
• Strong ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments.
• Excellent verbal and technical communication skills are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in site-development, transportation, energy, climate adaptation and resiliency projects.
• Manage permitting projects at the federal, state, and local level with a track record of success.
• Prepare permit applications, scientific reports, and environmental impact statements.
