Job summary

Kleinfelder seeks an Environmental Permit & Planning Professional to join the EP&P Team in PA. You will lead wetland and natural resources permitting efforts, collaborating with clients and regulators to secure 401/404 permits and related approvals.

Ideal candidates bring strong survey experience, federal/state regulatory know-how, and mentoring abilities, with a collaborative, self-starting approach and capability to work across Allentown, Pittsburgh, or Mechanicsburg locations.

Qualifications

• Strong wetland/waterway delineation skills; Professional Wetland Delineator and/or PWS certification a plus.
• Robust federal regulatory agency expertise; Secondary experience with Mid-Atlantic states a plus.
• Experience with wetland, waterway, and groundwater monitoring.
• GIS experience a plus.
• Independent thinking; self-starter; able to work independently.
• Effective communication skills; teamwork and leadership.
• Strong technical writing and QA/QC skills.
• Ability to engage staff and leadership with regulatory agencies.
• Experience guiding projects through 401/404 permitting and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform wetland and other natural resources surveys.
• Prepare permitting documents and reports for regulatory submittals.
• Lead and mentor junior staff; coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies.
• Engage directly with clients and regulatory agents to advance project approvals.
