Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a qualified Environmental Compliance professional to manage facility environmental permits, programs, and policies. The role involves interpreting regulatory data, preparing permit applications, and leading inspections and corrective actions.

The position emphasizes collaboration with management and internal customers, ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal rules while delivering accurate reporting and training across teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of environmental regulations including hazardous waste, solid waste, water and air.
• Analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and technical aptitude.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint applications.

Responsibilities

• Participates with management personnel in establishing procedures for administering regulatory compliance programs.
• Reviews analytical data and environmental performance metrics and summarizes and interprets results.
• Prepares permit applications and modifications.
• Conducts regular environmental inspections and supports and tracks corrective actions, if necessary.
• Prepares regulatory and permit required reporting.
• Conducts environmental compliance training.
• Performs other, related duties as assigned.
