Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an experienced environmental compliance professional to manage permit programs and regulatory advisement for our facilities. You will collaborate with management to implement procedures, review performance data, and prepare permit applications and modifications.

The role covers inspections, corrective actions tracking, reporting, and mandatory compliance training across local, state and federal regulations. Strong Excel/Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of environmental regulations including hazardous waste, solid waste, water and air.
• Analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and technical aptitude.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint applications.

Responsibilities

• Participates with management personnel in establishing procedures for administering regulatory compliance programs.
• Reviews analytical data and environmental performance metrics and summarizes and interprets results.
• Prepares permit applications and modifications.
• Conducts regular environmental inspections and supports and tracks corrective actions, if necessary.
• Prepares regulatory and permit required reporting.
• Conducts environmental compliance training.
• Performs other, related duties as assigned.
