Job summary

Republic Services seeks a Safety & Environmental Compliance Manager to oversee environmental permits, programs and policies ensuring regulatory compliance. You will assess compliance with local, state and federal regulations and advise internal customers.

Responsibilities include establishing procedures, preparing permit applications, handling regulatory reporting and coordinating with auditing activities to enforce standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of regulations specific to environmental waste management and compliance.
• Experience with hazardous waste regulations and TSDF practices.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage resources and expenditures.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Participates with management to establish procedures for regulatory compliance programs.
• Prepares permit applications, modifications and regulatory reports.
• Assesses compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations.
• Interfaces with environmental auditing activities to ensure conformance to standards.
• Provides regular reports to governmental agencies and senior management.
