Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Environmental and Regulatory Compliance Specialist to manage the facility’s environmental permits, programs and policies and to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.

The role assesses compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations and acts as an advisor to internal customers, coordinating with management and other stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulatory environment compliance in hazardous waste, solid waste, water and air.
• Prefer RCRA and DOT regulatory compliance.
• Must be able to travel.

Responsibilities

• Participates with management personnel in establishing procedures for administering regulatory compliance programs.
• Reviews analytical data and environmental performance metrics and summarizes and interprets results.
• Prepares permit applications and modifications.
• Conducts regular environmental inspections and supports and tracks corrective actions, if necessary.
• Prepares regulatory and permit required reporting.
• Performs other, related duties as assigned.
