Job summary

ADM’s Decatur Complex in Decatur, IL seeks an Environmental Manager with 5+ years of experience to support cogeneration, WWTP, and NWTP operations. The role reports to the Cogeneration Plant Manager and involves work in both office and industrial settings.

The successful candidate will drive environmental compliance across air, water and waste programs, manage permitting, oversee the CEMS program, lead audits, and train staff to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of environmental management experience in power generation, manufacturing, or processing facilities.
• Experience in environmental permitting and compliance for cogeneration, WWTP, and NWTP.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with air emissions (Title V), chemical, waste, and water management.
• Familiarity with Environmental Management Systems and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental technical support for cogeneration, wastewater treatment, and process water treatment facilities.
• Manage Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS): maintenance, data collection and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with environmental rules, permits, and other applicable requirements.
• Provide air and water permitting expertise for plant projects and analyses.
• Lead internal and external environmental audits and track findings to closure.
• Prepare regulatory reports such as Title V, Boiler MACT, NSPS and GHG.
• Train employees and contractors on environmental programs.
