Job summary

ADM’s Decatur Complex seeks an Environmental Manager in Decatur, IL. This full-time, salaried-exempt role supports cogeneration, WWTP, and NWTP facilities. The candidate will handle environmental permitting, compliance, and reporting across air, water, and waste programs, reporting to the Cogen Plant Manager.

Requires 5+ years’ experience and a Bachelor’s degree in an environmental field. Responsibilities include managing CEMS, interfacing with regulators, training staff, and leading audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of environmentally related experience, preferably in industrial/regulatory settings.
• Experience with CEMS reporting/management.
• Familiarity with air emissions, wastewater, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental technical support for cogeneration, wastewater, and process water facilities.
• Manage Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) maintenance and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with environmental rules, permits, and regulations.
• Provide air and water permitting expertise for plant projects.
• Promote continuous improvement through the Environmental Management System.
