Job summary

West Virginia Paving Inc. is seeking an Environmental Intern to assist the environmental department in meeting federal, state, and local regulations.

The role focuses on supporting compliance, permitting, and educational outreach across company sites, with potential field and office duties. The position requires enrollment in a college program with a minimum GPA and a high school diploma; prior related experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college degree program with a 3.0 GPA or better.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in environmental, geology, or mining field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in compliance reviews, inspections, and audits for environmental permits and regulations.
• Help obtain environmental permits for plants, sites and projects.
• Educate employees on environmental policy and compliance.
• Review documentation at sites to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Assist in filing required compliance reporting with agencies.
