Job summary

CRH is seeking an Environmental Intern to assist the environmental department in ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. The role supports reviews, permits, training, and documentation across company plants and sites in West Virginia.

The position emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and adherence to safety procedures, with potential travel and flexible hours as required by project needs.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college degree program related to the environment.
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in compliance reviews, inspections, and audits for environmental permits.
• Help obtain environmental permits for plants, sites, and projects.
• Inform staff and contractors about policy and compliance requirements.
• Provide environmental training and education to employees.
• Review documentation to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Advise on use of environmental compliance or reporting tools.
• Assist in filing compliance reports with regulatory agencies.
• Complete tasks on time; maintain regular attendance.
