Job summary

Walbec Group is seeking an Environmental Summer 2027 Intern to assist the environmental team with permitting, plans, inspections, and record-keeping. You will participate in audits, environmental sampling and waste tracking, while helping improve plant energy efficiency and tracking.

This role requires junior status toward a bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, chemistry, biology, soil science, or related fields, along with a proactive work ethic and a strong driving record for site visits.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, chemistry, biology, soil science or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Interest in environmental compliance and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Support the environmental team with permitting, plans, inspections, and record keeping.
• Participate in audits, environmental sampling, waste tracking, and disposal.
• Assist with plant Energy Star efficiency improvements and tracking.
• Travel to project and plant sites to support environmental compliance.
