Waupaca County Public Health Department seeks an Environmental Health professional to enforce county health ordinances, conduct inspections, consultations, and investigations associated with environmental health programs. The role protects human health and welfare under the Health Officer's supervision.

Responsibilities include drinking water sampling, surveys of various facilities, and education of the public.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental/Public Health, Biology, Bacteriology or related science field.
• 1–2 years experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• WI RS or NEHA REHS eligibility for Environmental Health Sanitarian07 or related roles.
• Ability to analyze data and information to determine compliance and identify solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Responsabilidades

• Inspects food facilities, campgrounds, lodging facilities, public pools, water attractions, body art facilities, and manufactured home communities for compliance with WI laws and local regulations.
• Maintains electronic and paper records related to inspections, consultations, investigations and permits.
• Collects, analyzes drinking water samples.
• Conducts sanitary surveys and assessments of water systems.
• Investigates environmental health hazards and writes enforcement orders as needed.
• Provides educational activities and participates in training of staff.
