Job summary

Walworth County seeks an Environmental Health Coordinator to lead the Environmental Health program, guiding operations, staff, and community-focused initiatives. You will supervise two specialists and ensure program objectives and funding requirements are met.

Under Health Officer guidance, you will oversee water quality monitoring, laboratory direction, and compliance with Wisconsin statutes, while coordinating emergency preparedness and policy development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health or a closely related field.
• Minimum 3 years of full-time professional experience in program coordination or leadership.
• Lab experience and knowledge of water quality monitoring and public health laboratories.
• Familiarity with Wisconsin Public Health Statutes and environmental health code.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Environmental Health program.
• Supervise two Environmental Health Specialists.
• Develop and monitor division budgets and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with funding sources and state regulations.
• Lead lab operations, training, and scheduling of staff.
