Job Description

Aluminum Recovery Technologies, Inc. is Indiana's premier toll manufacturer multi-material recycling. We are an aluminum toll processor. Furnace, Melting, Drying & Alloying.

Summary Of Position: Responsible for administration, implementation of the Plant Safety and Health with strong Environmental Compliance knowledge.

Principal Duties and Functions:

  • Indoctrination Training and Development.
  • New-Employee Indoctrination (Individuals and Group).
  • Training/Development Needs Identification.
  • Training Program Development.
  • Training Program Administration:
  • Safety Training
  • Communication.
  • Employee Complaint Procedure Coordination.
  • House Organizational Publishing assistance as required (Newsletters, Magazines, etc.).
  • Bulletin Board Maintenance and Control. (OSHA Log Report).
  • Government Regulations: Compliance.
  • Communication/Interpretation of Regulations; Counseling, Record-keeping, and Report Preparation:
  • OSHA/IOSHA
  • EPA/IDEM Compliance.
  • U.S. DOT/IDOT Compliance.
  • Department of Homeland Security, Indiana & Federal.
  • Company Policies and Procedures as required.
  • Conduct job safety analysis and Work Risk Analysis.
  • Stormwater Compliance
  • Personnel Record Maintenance.
  • Personnel EHS and DOT Training Record File Maintenance.
  • MS Access Training Database management, updates, corrections, and monitoring.
  • Accident investigations, worker's comp experience.
  • Employee Health and Safety.
  • OSHA/IOSHA Training
  • OSHA/IOSHA inspections, corrections, and communication.

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to work well with management personnel, other employees, and customers.
  • Administration skills.
  • Some mechanical aptitude, equipment familiarization, computer operations, and general math is helpful.
  • Self-Starter with good time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision to meet required deadlines.

Minimum Education or Experience:

  • College Degree or at least (3) years experience with emphasis on environmental in a manufacturing environment. Title V experience preferred. Foundry experience is a plus.
  • Works well with others, good communication, organizational and administrative skills.
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
