Job Title: Remote Environmental Compliance Specialist

Verdantas is hiring a Remote Environmental Compliance Specialist. Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year. Location: USA (must be local to Richmond, VA).

Position Overview

We seek a dedicated Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team remotely. The role involves working on national environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance projects, with a preference for candidates located near Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent client service skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct inspections at project sites to ensure compliance with standards, specifications, and regulations.
2. Provide guidance to on-site personnel regarding environmental compliance and documentation.
3. Perform stormwater management inspections and evaluate BMPs.
4. Travel to sites approximately 5 days per week, with time allocated for reports and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Geology, or related field preferred.
2. 2-7 years of experience in erosion, sediment, and stormwater management.
3. Dual certification in stormwater and erosion & sediment management or comparable experience preferred.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and effective report writing skills.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
